Ok, so you really want to do your home but don’t have money. Well here are a few simple things and simple ideas around the house and even simpler ways to do them.
1.
Use a toothbrush holder as a flower vase. Just crop the stems so that the flowers look just right, and you have a new, all symmetrical and organised flower vase.
2.
Are those old fashioned brass candle stands still ruling your dining table? Well I guess, its time for change now. Why not use wine glass as candle holders and turn your dinner enviably romantic. Just place a votive candle in the middle of the glass and decorate it with sand or pebbles.
3.
Display your photographs, post cards etc using paper binders used originally for holding papers. No need to invest in photo frames and the best part is that you could replace one as early as a week.
4.
Is that white shade becoming too boring, may be a little colour tape or ribbon could do wonders for you. Just use it as a lampshade trim and you could give a new life to your lamp.
5.
After the season is gone, the best way to use your big planting pots is to turn them into occasional tables. Just add a glass top to it and you’ll have a beautiful new table.
6.
With Halloween, Pumpkins those were originally used as lanterns, could be turned into beautiful centrepieces by adding some fresh or dried flowers. Cut the top, and hollow the seeds. Place your fresh flowers in a jar filled with water and you have a glee full new centrepiece for your house.
After all, being a good environmentalist is all about, reusing and recycling, in style!
